Which events are most relevant to job seekers?
Students and early-career candidates can use technical conferences to learn about operating challenges, research topics and new technologies. Exhibitions can help candidates understand company categories, equipment types and industry functions. However, attendance or networking does not guarantee an interview or job.
Research before you attend
- Check the official organizer website for current dates, venue and registration conditions.
- Identify sessions applicable to your intended career, such as drilling, offshore safety, LNG, facilities maintenance, engineering or logistics.
- Prepare a short, accurate description of your studies, projects and technical interests.
- Do not send CVs to unofficial recruiters or pay purported placement agents at event venues.
- Confirm travel, visa and any employer requirements independently.
Event data standards
Only events with an attributable published date and official organizer destination should appear in OilfieldPeople’s event calendar. Dates may change. Past events must leave the upcoming list automatically. The calendar counts each published event on the dates it takes place and opens the official organizer page when an event is selected.
